2006-03-14 . 1:09 p.m. - I can't wait to have a house warming party!!!On Friday, Neutron & I had dinner at Romano's Macaroni Grill. It was a little cold in there, so I was wearing my Winterguard hoodie. The hostess seating us noticed said hoodie and asked if I was in winterguard. I gave her a short synopsis of my marching career (3 years at Cooper, 1 year with Braddock Independent). She asked what year I marched Braddock and I said "The year before they medaled."
Her: "Did you guys wear all green that year?"
Me: "Yup, that's the year"
"Her: "OMG!!! I loved that show.
Me: "Wow, really? Thanks!!! I'm really glad you enjoyed it!"
And that's how you make my weekend....
Actually, the real thing that made my weekend: Neutron & I put an offer on a 3 bed/2 bath house in Waterford Lakes and it got accepted. We're planning to close around the end of April. In less than 2 months, I'm going to be living in my own house. Holy shit, I'm practically a grown up.
