2002-08-23 . 4:07 p.m. - "Why not? I'm a fungi!"I am Marcela's evil fungi.
So I've had this ... thing growing on my pinky & middle finger for the last two or three weeks (ok ... maybe a bit longer). At first, I didn't want to admit that it was a fungus (maybe I bashed my fingers in my car door & I just blocked out the memory). But over the last week, it has become alarmingly clear that I HAVE A FUNGUS. Being the health-conscious person that I am (actually, Neutron yelled at me 'til I caved) I went to Publix's pharmacist & asked for his professional opinion on what product I should buy. He handed me some LotriminAF and sent me on my merry way. I was a bit skeptical about using a product that claims to "Cure Athelete's Foot" on my fingernail ... but I figured he knew what he was doing, so I didn't ask questions. Well, I just got home & I was getting ready to apply the wonder solution when I read the directions: "This product not effective on the scalp or nails." Well I'll be a MoFo's uncle. Needless to say, I was livid ... BUT I'm a person that doesn't return things ... no matter what the circumstances. So I'm just gonna keep the stuff like the little pussy I am & pray that someone I know gets athlete's foot, jock itch, or ringworm so I can give them the medication & know it didn't go to waste. I just know it's gonna take me another week to gather the nuts to go to Eckerds & ask the pharmacist there (any trust & respect I ever had for the Publix pharmacist has been obliterated).

In other, non-fungal related news: my classes at UCF are going great. So far, my favorite is Internet Interactivity ... but does that really surprise you? It's as though I'm a genius in that class ... I am "that kid"; the one who answers every question correctly w/o even raising their hand.

Umm ... so yeah ... I guess that's it for now.
